Nanette Lepore

Nanette Lepore is a well-respected and talented fashion designer who is based in New York. She was born in Ohio where she grew up with her family. She did part of her studies in her home town of Youngstown, Ohio, before she moved to New York to study design and to start her career as a fashion designer. She longed to have her own label and convinced her dad to give her a loan so that she could set up shop in New York. It was 1992 when she opened a small boutique in the garment district in New York. This boutique attracted local artists and poets and encouraged Nanette to open another boutique
