After beginning his studies in Architecture, José António Tenente decided to embark on a fashion career in 1984, taking the courses for Fashion Design. In 1986 he presented his first collection. Since 1991 he has integrated the official calendar of Moda Lisboa, Lisbon's fashion week. His work has been featured in Amsterdam, Bologna, Dusseldorf, Washington, Naples, Stockholm, London, Sydney, Shanghai and regularly in Paris and Barcelona. Throughout his career as a fashion designer, he has been awarded mulitple prizes. In 2006 he was awarded with the Commendation of the Order Infante D. Henrique
