Helmut Lang is an Austrian artist and fashion designer born in Vienna, who now lives and works in New York and on Long Island. He established his trademark in 1978 and had his first international presentation at Centre Georges Pompidou in 1986. He was very successful in fashion design till 1995 when he decided to leave fashion and dedicate his time to art.
