Domenico Caraceni (1880 – 1940) is considered “the founder of Italian tailoring”. He founded his own tailor shop in Rome, Italy in 1913. Domenico came from the Caraceni family that had been a tailoring family for a few generations. His father Tommaso Caraceni from Ortona a Mare taught his craft to Domenico and his brothers Galliano and Augusto. The shop from 1913 was closed two years after due to the war.
