Bruno Banani

Bruno Banani is the successor to an underwear-brand of the GDR (Trikotex), and it's located in Chemnitz (formerly Karl-Marx-Stadt). Wolfgang Jassner on the birth of the cult brand bruno banani: "The former VEB (state-owned enterprises in the GDR) Tricotex was dissolved in 1993. Only around 250 out of the 2,500 jobs before the political transformation were retained in the new companies. No future? No!
